Education: Master's degree in community counseling, a certificate in autism and a doctorate in psychology.

Why are you the best candidate for the Little Falls School Board seat?

Age: 56.

Address: Little Falls.

Occupation: Coborn's Superstore store manager.

Why are you the best candidate for the Little Falls School Board seat?

School board chair and eight-year member. Graduate of Little Falls High School and lifelong resident. Member of Bethel Lutheran Church and very active in the community. I believe that all children deserve the opportunity to succeed to the highest level of their abilities. I believe that it is my duty to best represent the children of our district and to let the voters decide if I am the most qualified person to represent them.

Jay Spillum

Age: 68.

Address: Little Falls.

Occupation: Adjunct instructor at St. Cloud Technical College.

Education: Bachelor's of science degree in mathematical education at Moorhead State University and a master's degree in mathematics at Central Michigan University.

Family: Wife, Dianne Spillum, and six children who were educated in the Little Falls School District.

Why are you the best candidate for the Little Falls School Board seat?

Having taught and lived in Little Falls since 1964 and having served a four-year term on the school board, I feel I'm well-qualified to serve. There're changes taking place in education and I feel as a board member I would be able to help (along with parents, community and school administrators) our school district keep abreast of these changes, so our students will receive the best education with the resources available to us.
