Restructuring government to bring spending closer to voters. Emphasis - to repair limits equipment rather than replace with new equipment. Joint spending with other counties - (co-op). Control welfare programs. Institute four-day workweek.
What abilities or qualifications separate you from your competition? Why are you the best candidate for filling the District 3 commissioner seat?
My education as an engineer-contractor and business experience would be an asset for new business, development and growth and spending on government projects.

Suspend any new county building projects - courthouse, jail, etc. Say "no" to more special taxing districts. Recognize property values have gone down and make the proper adjustments. Freeze any new hiring. Make department heads accountable for their staff - cuts if necessary. With high gas prices, make every mile driven count. Freeze their budgets to keep levy the same or lower.

I have been a resident of Cass County my entire life. I know the area well. I've seen the impact that has been put on our land and lakes. Common sense development and good forest management will ensure our future. I know the roads and their traffic capacities. I've worked and made a living here, raised a family. I know the hardships that a bad economy puts on people who try to make a living here.
