COLLEGEVILLE -- Three touchdowns and 108 rushing yards later Travis Dixon carried the Pillager Huskies football team to its first victory of the season as they bettered St. John's Prep 34-14 Wednesday.
Dixon added 10 tackles and one interception. Blake Borders finished with 15 tackles. Jake Eastman had five tackles and an interception. Josh Horn had nine tackles and an interception and Luke Ringler finished with six tackles and two interceptions. The sophomore returned one pick 87 yards for the Huskies final score.
"It's very nice to pick up the first win," said first-year Pillager head coach Derek Schlieve. "The guys came out and got the momentum early on a couple of scoring plays.
"It got a little scary when they pulled to within seven, but the guys finished strong."
