It's time for some credit for Bob Olson! We need more like him on the council that cares for citizens of Brainerd and are not always ready to say yes without all the facts.
Thank you Bob for helping on the Cora Street project. Also for a driveway at 220 N. 4th that couldn't be used for over a week. Calls to city, but nothing done. So, called Bob and it was taken care of promptly. Thanks to you.
The Vox Pop articles seem to be negative and the people who write them want to be anonymous. Why? Maybe connections with other council members? Please sign or don't write them.

Yesterday, Wednesday October 15, was the last of my son's flag football games held after school at Baxter park. What made this day of flag football different from the rest was that this time the "teen-agers!" as my son exclaimed, were going to be there too. By teen-agers my son meant the members of the Warrior football team that came down to lend a hand coaching the younger kids. I wanted to thank these young men as well as express how impressed I was with their enthusiasm and attitudes. They helped the kids design plays, gave them a few pointers and most importantly made it fun for everyone. One of the highlights was at the end of the day when it came time to hand out trophies. The Warriors made two parallel lines as they do before a game, clapping and chanting as each younger boy then ran between the lines down to the end were they received their trophy. I am very glad to see that the Warrior traditions such as these still live on, and that our Warrior athletes, from all sports, still exhibit the integrity and values that are so important in life. My son talked about his experience all night, until finally he fell asleep, his new trophy next to his bed.
Thanks Warriors -- great job!!
