Warriors split with Cathedral, Tech in bowling

St. Cloud Cathedral defeated Brainerd 3-2 and the Warriors defeated St. Cloud Tech 4-1 Saturday at Granite Bowl South in St. Cloud.
Will Bassett and Derek Maier led Brainerd against Cathedral with 100- and 90-percent fills.
Against Tech, Alex Heldt, Bassett, Kevin Lechner, and Zach Hewitt led the Warriors with 100-, 93.8-, 90- and 83.3-percent fills. Bassett had 16 of 29 possible strikes.
Brainerd leads the conference by one match with 9-3 record. Sauk Rapids, Tech and Sartell are tied at second with 8-4 records.
The Warriors host Rocori and Milaca at Paul Bunyan Bowl Saturday.
