Warrior girls to host Buffalo

Fourth-seeded Buffalo (11-7-2) will play No. 1 Brainerd (11-4-2) at Southdale Field in Baxter at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals of the Class 8-2A girls' soccer tournament.

The Bison defeated No. 5 St. Cloud Tech 2-0 in the opening round of the section tournament Saturday.

Buffalo edged the Warriors 1-0 in the third game of the regular season Sept. 1.

Lumberjacks second tryout Nov. 14

The Brainerd Lumberjacks semi-pro football ball team have scheduled another tryout at 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at Anytime Fitness in Baxter.

The team is seeking candidates to fill assistant coaches. Call coach J.J. Kern (218) 831-1400 for additional information.
