Olive Richter

PINE RIVER -- Olive Richter, age 87, of Pine River, and formerly of Pequot Lakes, passed away Oct. 14, 2004, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River. She was born Sept. 6, 1917, on a farm west of Pine River to Emma and Jacob Johnson. She spent most of her adult life in Minneapolis raising her family and working at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. She and her husband retired to Pequot Lakes in the early 1980s in the home that had belonged to her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Anton; sons, James, of Minneapolis, and Jerome, of Hackensack; sister, Laura, of Indian Wells, Calif.; grandson, Daniel, of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carl; and son, John.

Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.

Services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Maple Hill Church, rural Pine River. Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
