The following area students received scholarships from Bemidji State University for the 2003-04 academic year:
Richard Aulie, a Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, received a Hartz Scholarship. Aulie is majoring in elementary education with an emphasis in coaching. In high school, Aulie was an all-conference golfer, a participant in the state cross country meet, a member of National Honor Society and student council and was a Triple A Award winner.
Amanda Flier, Aitkin, social studies for secondary education with an emphasis in Native American studies, received a Roy and Eva Lind Scholarship; Jolene Hann, Baxter, a biology major, received a Rhonda Syverson Levinski Scholarship; Brent Utech, Walker, a chemistry major with an emphasis in genetics and criminal justice, received a Lakehead Pipeline Scholarship; Kelli Knudsen, Brainerd, a mass communications major, received an Ed Aalberts Memorial Scholarship; Nicholas Phelps, Brainerd, an aquatic biology and secondary education major with an emphasis in life science, received a Rick Maynard Scholarship; and Mitch Feierabend, Brainerd, an industrial technology major with an emphasis in construction management, received a Danny Kraus Scholarship.
