Accidents

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle, head-on collision Thursday on Highway 18 at County Road 8, east of Brainerd, the State Patrol said.

The accident was reported to the State Patrol at 4:44 p.m. An eastbound vehicle driven by Tony Rono, 43, Crosby, collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Norbert Duscher, 60, Breezy Point.

A passenger in Rono's vehicle, Albert Rono, 62, Crosby, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was reported in serious condition today.

Tony Rono, Duscher, and a passenger in Duscher's vehicle, Jane Duscher, 53, Breezy Point were treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and released.

The Brainerd Fire Department and North Ambulance assisted at the scene.
