BAXTER -- Lee D. Sells, 94, Baxter, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at St. Joseph's Medical Center of Brainerd.
He was born Aug. 10, 1906, in New Hartford, Iowa, to Sherman and Emma (Ackerson) Sells. He married Julia Hugh on Nov. 5, 1923, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They owned and operated resorts on Leech Lake near Walker for many years. They lived in Tall Timbers near Nisswa for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gladys Yarwood, Baxter; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Sells, Clarksville, Iowa.
A son, Mervin, two great-grandchildren, and several siblings died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Brainerd with Pastor Ronald Green officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery of Brainerd.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home of Brainerd and an hour before services Saturday at the church.
