Dryland sled dog racers will compete for a $10,000 purse in canicross, bikejor, rig and scooter classes in the East Meets West Dryland Championship on Oct. 30-31 at Warner Lake Park in Clearwater.
Racing starts on Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. and on Sunday at 9 a.m. Admission is free, although donations for the local food shelf will be accepted.
A handicapped accessible indoor trail view area is available at the nature center. Concessions will be available both days.
The Warner Lake Park Nature Center will host a mushers dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30. Cost of the turkey dinner is $8. The public is invited to meet the mushers and join them for dinner.
Following the dinner, Dr. Jerry Vanek, a race veterinarian, will present the "Relay Race for Life Serum Run" slide show. His presentation is also free to the public.
Racing is sanctioned by ISDRA, IFSS and North Star Sled Dog Club.
