Republicans today are still spreading the lie that jobs are created because of tax breaks or tax incentives to businesses or giving the wealthy tax cuts. There is one and only one reason a business, large or small, hires a new employee, and that reason is because there has been an increase in the demand for the product or service they provide and they are unable to obtain any more production from their existing employees. That is the only reason new jobs are created and sustained in any economic model.
The way that increase comes about is that the people who need or want the product or service are able to afford to buy it. The growth of the entire economy must come from the very bottom of the economic ladder. The stimulus needs to go to the people most likely to spend an increase in wages. It has nothing to do with deserving more income, or being worthy of a handout. Dollars put in at the lowest level of subsistence are spent many times over before they end up in a Swiss Bank account or a Cayman Island savings account. The rich will always end up with the lion's share of the worlds wealth, but when it is recycled starting at the bottom, it feeds a lot more people. If the Republicans can suppress just a little of their greed many more of God's creatures will live better lives.

Klang has the right traits
I am highly impressed by Eric Klang's honesty. He doesn't bend the truth to make himself look good. He says it like it is and sticks to his word. Out of honesty comes respect. These are traits we must have in leadership. Eric Klang needs to be our next sheriff.

Tennis will be a great sheriff
Wayne Tennis is well trained in law enforcement. He was named community champion in 2002 by the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. This is true leadership and is proof of his convictions. He will be a great sheriff for Cass County.

Klang's administration skills
It is impressive to me that Eric Klang successfully served four years as sheriff and then received an administration degree. Couple this experience and education with his incredible people and leadership skills and he is clearly the best choice for Crow Wing County sheriff! Vote Klang Nov. 2!

Was Koering set up?
Was Sen. Paul Koering's gay dinner date set up by Republican hard-liners because he did not always vote with their bills? He voted his mind for what would benefit most people in this state. I will vote Koering on the ballot write-in line Nov. 2.

Stevenson will listen and learn
Taylor Stevenson is a bright, thoughtful young man, who is willing to listen and learn. At time when political divides are at an all time high, he is willing to cross those divides and work for the common good. He is the kind of state senator we need.
