A 39-year-old man shot in the head Wednesday remained in critical condition today.

Larry Olson was one of two men who suffered gunshot wounds at a residence in Ross Lake Township. He was transported to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby and then airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital, where today a hospital spokeswoman reported he remained in critical condition.

The other man shot, Lonnie Davis, 45, was treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and released. The shootings took place at Davis' residence.

Crow Wing County Sheriff's Lt. Skip Rudquist today said investigators were still trying to determine what led to the shootings. No arrests have been made.

Davis called 911 about 7:12 p.m. and reported several men came into his yard and shot him in the ear. Some of the men drove Olson to the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
