Transportation officials are scheduled to speak at a meeting on transportation and employment from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at Northland Arboretum.
Those attending will learn about road blocks to transportation to employment.
Amy Conrick, Joblinks program manager for the Community Association of America in Washington, D.C., will present a national perspective on job-related transportation for people with disabilities and an overview of state and community initiatives.
Tom Gottfried, program director for the Minnesota Department of Transportation Office of Transit, will discuss Minnesota's public and para transit systems, private and nonprofit transit services and other initiatives.
Area employers, transit service providers, people with disabilities and seniors will offer a transportation and employment panel presentation and discussion.
The free event is presented by the Center for Independent Living of Northeastern Minnesota, the Minnesota State Council on Disability and Pathways to Employment.
