Gerhard 'Gerry' J. Linn

AITKIN -- Gerhard "Gerry" J. Linn, 84, Aitkin, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, in the Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin.

He was born May 16, 1917, in Jordan to Nick and Anna (Kreuser) Linn. He graduated from Remer High School. He married Juen Gritten on Sept. 16, 1940, in Remer. He was a Navy veteran and served in World War II. He worked in St. Paul for the former Univac Co., now Unisys, as a department shipping manager. After retirement, they lived in Aitkin.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Linn, White Bear Lake; two grandchildren; and a sister, Veronica Allen, Woodbury.

Three sisters, Margaret Golda, Hildegard Kuffel and Lucy Riley, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin with Father Patrick J. Coyle officiating. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
