Lois Hansen has been named student support services director at Central Lakes College.
Hansen, a Minnesota native, comes to Brainerd from Los Lunas, N.M., where she had been donor relations manager for the University of New Mexico Valencia campus.
She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where she earned her bachelor's degree in education and public speaking. She pursued advanced studies in vocational education administration at the University of Alaska and the University of Northern Montana.
She also studied fine arts at Carroll College, Helena, Mont., human relations, public speaking and broadcasting at the University of Wisconsin, and program development at the University of Minnesota.
Her work in the newly created college post will assist CLC students through funding from a national grant. Several other appointments are forthcoming as a result of the three-year grant, said Wendy Schluender, dean of student affairs.
