FARGO, N.D. - Levi Allen found the end zone twice, but a failed extra point doomed the Pine River-Backus Tigers in a 16-14 loss to the Frazee Hornets in a Northern Plains Conference game Thursday at the Fargodome.
Allen carried the ball for 67 yards and a touchdown, and caught one pass for 30 yards and his second touchdown to lead the Tigers' offense.
"It was about the best four quarters that we've put together on the year," Tigers coach Randy Schwegel said. "(We) played well throughout the whole game on both sides of the ball.
"Allen had one of his better games, and (Cody) Schrupp did really well too with big punt and kick returns and he made some big defensive plays too."
