Steve Lundstam collects vintage boats and the one he pilots on Gull Lake is his latest acquisition. The excursion yacht had motored on ocean waters as well as Rainy Lake under the two previous owners.

"Van Pooling" a unique conservation effort operated by the Minnesota Department of Transportation is under way in Crow Wing County. Locally its the Crow Wing County MnDOT paratransit van. The van is chauffeured by Bruce Jones of the highway department.

Demolition of the Brainerd Depot is continuing at a rapid pace as heavy equipment makes quick work of razing the building. The site, long occupied by the depot, will be taken over by the National Food Stores, Inc. for a shopping center.
