Pequot's bobber tower getting a fresh look

PEQUOT LAKES - With the 2008 Governor's Fishing Opener at Breezy Point, along with many activities happening in Pequot Lakes, the Brainerd Lakes Chamber arranged for the historic Pequot Lakes bobber tower to get a fresh look.
Kangas Tank and Maintenance recently began prep work for repairs, power washing and a fresh coat of paint.
Painting is scheduled to begin Wednesday, depending on the weather.
The project may mean parking areas below may need to be roped off with temporary parking restrictions.
"The bobber tower is a legendary icon in Pequot Lakes and the Brainerd Lakes Chamber is committed to keeping that piece of history maintained for many years to come," Brainerd Lakes Chamber Area Director RuthAnn Hanson said in a news release.
