LITTLE FALLS -- Andrew "Andy" Revering, 84, Little Falls, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 5, 1918, in Effington Township, Ottertail County, to John and Elizabeth (Otto) Revering. He graduated in 1936 from Parkers Prairie High School in Parkers Prairie. He then attended St. Cloud Business College. He worked for the Parker Prairie Creamery and then for Midland Coop in Minneapolis. He married Lorraine M. Korwoski on Oct. 19, 1943, in Millerville. They lived in Detroit Lakes. He worked for the Big 5 Coop. They later moved to Little Falls and he was self-employed in the accounting business. In 1958, he worked for Little Falls Community Federal Savings and Loan in Little Falls and retired as the chief executive officer. He was a member of the savings and loan board, an offering counter and lector at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Little Falls Community Development Board, Crow Wing County Restoration Board, Minnesota Saving and Loan League, American Field Service, Monsignor T. Leo Keaveney Fourth Degree Assembly and Third Degree No. 1804 Council, Cosier Apostulate, Lucky Lindy Camping Club and the Little Falls Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jean Jacobi, Brainerd, Bonnie Revering, St. Anthony, and Judy Ross, San Diego; two sons, Alan Revering, Quincy, Ill., and Paul Revering, New Hope; a sister, Marie Suchy, Avon; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8-10:30 a.m. Friday at the w Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 5:30 p.m. Thursday followed by the Knights of Columbus Office of the Dead at 6:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are preferred.
