CROSBY - Matthew Hudrlik rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown, caught three passes for 41 yards and had an interception helping the Crosby-Ironton Rangers remain perfect at 7-0, win the Great Polar Alliance championship and secure the No. 1 seed for the Section 6-2A playoffs with Wednesday's 34-26 win over the Pine City Dragons at John Davies Field.
Nathan Hudrlik crossed the goal line twice with scoring runs of 5 and 6 yards. The junior back and younger brother of Matthew Hudrlik finished with 94 rushing yards.
Junior quarterback Phil Kuhlmann capped off the Rangers opening drive with a 3-yard touchdown run. C-I opened with Kuhlmann hitting Mark Hoge on a 45-yard reception.
Logan Patrick finished off the scoring for C-I with a 1-yard plunge.
Lee Bjerkness sealed the victory with his first interception of the season. Hoge also had a pick as C-I forced three turnovers and didn't turn it over.
