Cardinals crush Park Rapids in conference play

STAPLES -- Beau Pilgrim didn't put up the same numbers as he did a week ago, but it was still enough to lead the Staples-Motley Cardinals to a 48-6 rout of Park Rapids Friday in Northern Lakes Conference football.

Pilgrim scored twice and rushed for 150 yards on 26 carries.

Nathan Warner sacked Park Rapids Panthers quarterback Rocky Donnatelli for a safety and scored on a 20-yard run. He finished with 63 yards rushing.

Caleb Nurnberger added two touchdown passes as the Cardinals outgained PR 400 to 170.
