Brainerd Parks and Recreation will sponsor adult broomball at Gold Medal Arena this winter.
Registration deadline is Nov. 18. League play begins Dec. 7 with games starting at 8:30 p.m.
A $100 deposit is required at registration. Total cost per team will be determined once the league schedule is formulated.

Boxing club to begin workouts Thursday
The Golden Lakes Boxing Club will conduct its first workout of the season 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Elementary School in Brainerd.
Beginning Oct. 25, the club will work out 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at St. Francis.
Sophomores defeat Willmar
The Brainerd Warrior sophomore football team defeated Willmar 28-20 Thursday at Adamson Field.
Quarterback Nate Schaefbauer scored four touchdowns on runs of 1, 17,12 and 9 yards. He also helped his cause by completing two long passes to Bronson Shepherd to get into scoring range.
Schaefbauer also passed to Shepherd for a 2-point conversion. Brandon Julius added a 2-point conversion run.
The Warriors held Willmar to 192 yards total offense to Brainerd's 267.
Jed Magstadt intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble to lead the defense.
The Warriors (7-0) end the season 5 p.m. Tuesday at Sartell.
LF Nordic ski club to have fund-raiser
The Little Falls Nordic ski team will host a fund-raiser Thursday, featuring wine and beer tasting, German appetizers, music by the Country Polkateers, a silent auction and door prizes.
The fund-raiser is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Falls Ballroom, one mile east of Little Falls on Highway 27.
Cost is $25 per person. Tickets are available at the door. All funds raised will support the Little Falls High School Nordic ski team.
Forestview winter sports meeting Monday
Winter sports information meetings for Forestview Middle School students and their parents are scheduled 5:15 and 6:45 p.m. Monday in the Forestview cafetorium.
Parents and athletes should attend one session to register for the winter sports season.
Costs for participation are: Sixth grade $40, seventh $45, eighth $50. Checks should be made payable to Independent School District 181.
Winter sports include:
Boys' and girls' Alpine skiing, grades 8-12 (varsity sport); boys' and girls' basketball, grades 6-8; gymnastics, grades 8-12 (varsity sport); boys and girls' Nordic skiing, grades 6-8, (varsity sport); boys' swimming and diving, grades 6-8; and wrestling, grades 6-8.
