Rachel Pfeffer of Central Lakes College has been named the setter of the week in the Northern Division of the MCAC.
Pfeffer, a freshman from Melrose, averaged eight assists to help the Raiders go 3-0 last week. She ranks second in the division in assists per game and third in attack percentage.
CLC's Parker defensive player of week
Central Lakes College defensive back Dusty Parker was named the Southern Division defensive player of the week ending Oct. 10.
Parker, a sophomore from Little Falls, had four tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups in a 28-12 win over Minnesota West. He leads the division in punting (37.4 yards) and interceptions (6).
The Raiders, ranked 14th in the NJCAA/JC Football.com poll this week after being ranked 16th last week, play Vermilion at Ely at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Conference honors Warrior, two Little Falls Flyers
The Central Lakes Conference has named its performers of the week ending Oct. 10.
In girls' cross country, Rebecca Yeh of Brainerd won the first race of her career at Crosby-Ironton Invite.
In boys' cross country, Ricky DeVine of Little Falls had a lifetime-best time at the Perham Invite (17:13).
In volleyball, Paige Saulter of Little Falls had 46 digs in three events.
JV girls fourth, boys fifth
Brainerd's junior varsity girls placed fourth and the Warriors boys were fifth in the Tech Invite cross country meet Tuesday.
Brad Wolhart was 16th to pace the Warrior boys. Chelsie Manton led the Warrior girls in 17th place.
