Hoheisel paces Pioneer girls

MAPLE LAKE - Mariah Hoheisel clocked a time of 16:51 to take first place and lead the Pierz girls' cross country team to a first-place finish in the Central Minnesota Conference meet Tuesday.

All five Pioneer runners recorded top-10 times. Sonya Theis finished second with a time of 17:00 while Tracy Wimmer was fourth, Rachel Detschman ninth and Megan Hoheisel 10th.

The Pierz boys' team took fourth and was led by Jake Poster's 11th-place finish.

Boys' team scores: 1-Rockford 58, 2-Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 60, 3-Royalton 63, 4-Pierz 72, 5-Maple Lake 83, St. John's Prep INC, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa INC, Eden Valley-Watkins INC
