Alyce V. Carlson
Alyce V. Carlson, age 91, resident of Brainerd, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Alyce was born on March 26, 1918, in Chisholm, Minn., to Julius and Mary (Perelli) Marchesi.
Survivors include sons, Richard (Jennifer) Carlson, of Coon Rapids, Robert (Jayne) Carlson, of Athens, Tenn.; daughter, Phyllis Lamkin, of Aurora, Minn.; sisters, RoseAnn (Frank) Herold, Elsie (Grant) Youmans; brother, Joseph (Jean) Marches; grandchildren, DebbraLee Harju, Jeffrey (Debra) Kangas, Wendy (Rodney) Ross, Jaime (Shari) Kangas, Robb (Leola) Carlson, Nicole (Jason) Hogel, Jaynel (Tracy) Watkins, Jered Carlson, Heather (Anthony) Grand and Trevor Carlson; 20 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Julius Marchesi; her husband, John A. Carlson; grandsons, Richard Kangas and Michael Kangas; sisters, Kathryn Borelli and Lee Markey.
Services will be held noon on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Kristin Oltmann officiating. Burial will be at East Union Cemetery in Carver County. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
