Open house scheduled to tour Self Help homes

Four homes in the Self Help Housing program administered by the Region Five Development Commission are complete and will be open to the public to tour from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22.
The homes are on 28th Street Southeast in Brainerd. The numbers to the homes are 828, 906, 916 and 920.
The Self Help Housing program, a Rural Development program, is a home construction program where low-income families help build their home, as well as help others build their homes, and pay for it through a low-interest rural development loan.
Families interested in the next round of construction that is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2006 are invited to attend the open house or contact Anne Hanson at Region Five at (218) 894-3233.
