Two Brainerd men arrested in burglary

Two Brainerd men were arrested Thursday for allegedly breaking into a home on Pine Beach Road, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department said.

Officers reported that the homeowner arrived home and discovered a 43-year-old man committing a burglary at his home. The man chased the suspect.

When deputies arrived, they arrested the suspect a short distance from the residence.

A white pickup was later stopped by the Brainerd Police Department and officers determined that it was stolen and used in the burglary. The driver of the vehicle, a 60-year-old Brainerd man, also was arrested.

In the vehicle there were numerous property items that were identified as missing from several area burglaries.

The felony charges against the two suspects were filed with the Crow Wing County Attorney's Office.
