Almira Riley
PINE RIVER - Almira Riley, age 81, of Pine River, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009.
She was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Montevideo, Minn., to Paul and Olga Paulson. She grew up in Montevideo and moved to Pequot Lakes in 1950. She was a municipal employee in Pine River and Pequot Lakes for 35 years and was a member of the Pine River Legion Auxiliary. Almira was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Linda Canzano (Nick) of Tilton, N.H., John Mettling (Nancy) of Federal Dam; stepchildren Pat Riley of Hinckley, Bill Riley of Pine River; grandchildren Kimberly, Kristina, Elizabeth, Emily, Elly, Tim, Kim, Jim, Tina and Willy; several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River, with Father Bruce Engen officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
