Doris M. Skarloken
Doris Mildred Skarloken, age 85, resident of Brainerd, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
Doris was born on Feb. 25, 1920, in Nokay Lake Township to William and Mary (Spohn) Ramsdell. She married Floyd Skarloken on Jan. 18, 1938, in Brainerd.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Skarloken, of Brainerd, and Beverly (Steve) Wnuk, of Columbia Heights, Minn.; six grandchildren, Christy (Orlan) Johnson, Joanne (Rick) Larson, Ron (Cyndi) Burnard, Linda Jensen (Dave Magnan), Sheila (Randy) Avenson and Timothy (Lynette) Burnard; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Floyd; daughter, Fern; three brothers, William, Aaron and Charles; sister, Elsie; parents; and great-grandson, Sean Avenson, died earlier.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor David Holte officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Nokay Lake Township, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services at the church on Friday.
