There will be three ways to win at the Nisswa Area Women of Today's 15th annual fashion show "An Evening in Paradise" on Tuesday in Breezy Point. Raffle tickets will sell for $1 each. Those who buy tickets need not be present to win. New this year will be a silent auction with items to bid upon. There will also be the $1 basket drawings available at the show only. All fashion show proceeds go to the Crisis Line and Referral service, Nisswa Park and Recreation program and Ski Gull. The stores participating in the fashion show this year will be Lundrigans, Rashima's, Wildrose Farms, Felicity, Courtyard, Town and Lake, KC Hatties and Leslies. Nisswa Women's Club
Meeting will be noon Thursday at the Breezy Point Convention Center. Note change in location. Lois I. Jensen will present a program, "There are worse things than cancer." Hostesses: Bunny Ferrell, chair; Evelyn Woode, Marion Landis, Eleanor Foy and Cora Johnson.
Brainerd American Legion
There will be a dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd American Legion. Country style BBQ ribs, baked potato, salad, bar and roll will be served for $6.50.
The Brainerd American Legion will hold its annual early bird membership dinner Saturday for all those who have paid their 2003 dues. Social hour will be from 6-7 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
