Brainerd woman critical following collision

NISSWA - A 19-year-old Brainerd woman was in critical condition at a Twin Cities hospital Thursday night following a two-vehicle collision in Nisswa.

The collision happened about 11:25 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 371 and Crow Wing County Road 13/77 in Nisswa.

Chelsey Borlaug was driving her car westbound on Crow Wing County Road 13 when she collided broadside with a pickup driven by Scott Villwock, 43, Brainerd, who was northbound on Highway 371.

Villwock, who suffered neck and back injuries, was treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and released.

Borlaug, who suffered serious head injuries, was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where she was reported in critical condition.

Assisting at the scene were the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department and the Nisswa Police Department.
