Team registration deadline for the Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department's broomball league is Nov. 17.

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit when registering. The total team fee will be determined once team registration is complete.

Games will be played Wednesday nights, beginning Dec. 6, at the Gold Medal Arena. Players are required to wear helmets.

Conference honors two Warriors

Two Brainerd Warriors have been named Central Lakes Conference performers of the week ending Oct.. 7.

Megan Zillmer, girls' soccer, scored five goals and have five assists in two games last week.

Christie Nelson, swimming, won the 200- and 500-yard freestyles against Alexandria and Willmar.

JV Blue finishes 12-2-2

The Brainerd Warriors junior varsity Blue boys' soccer team finished the season 12-2-2 after blanking Sartell 4-0 on Tuesday.

Goalkeeper John Schuldheisz recorded his eighth shutout of the season, making nine saves.

Jacob Williams had two goals. Bror Linnerooth and Adam Tagtmeier each scored once.

Evan Impola had two assists and Williams and Joe Doyscher each had one.

JV football team finishes 4-1

The Brainerd Warriors junior varsity football team finished its season 4-1 after defeating Bemidji 22-0 Oct. 7.

Five days earlier the Warriors beat Grand Rapids 54-0. On Sept. 30, Brainerd lost to Becker 30-12.

Holes in one

Gregg Henderson, Baxter, aced the 105-yard ninth hole on Bobby's Legacy at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's Oct. 1 using a sand wedge.

Marianne Auge aced the 122-yard first hole at Emily Greens Oct. 4 using a 5-wood.

Scott Sandberg, Erskine, aced the 172-yard eighth hole of Madden's Pine Beach East Course Oct. 6 using an 8-iron.

Paulette Lehr, Northrop, aced the 138-yard seventh hole of the Lakes Course at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge Sept. 29 using an 11-wood.
