The Brainerd Warriors remained winless in Central Lakes Conference volleyball Tuesday after losing to the Willmar Cardinals 25-11, 25-16, 25-21.
Brainerd's Karlye Barron had six kills, Kelsey McDowell had nine digs, Britni Hynes had three ace serves and Nikker Graumann had 13 set assists.
Warriors coach Carla Stall said the games were closer than the match indicated.
"Serving kind of plagued us," Stall said. "We missed as many as we aced but our serve receive passing wasn't there. That was Willmar's strength. They passed the ball well and were able to set it up and do something with it."
The Warriors had just 21 kills.
"We took our setters out of the game by not passing well and not being able to set up our hitters," Stall said. "When we did attack we attacked well and placed the ball well but it didn't happen often enough.
