Vivian M. Carlson

PINE RIVER -- Vivian Minnie Carlson, age 85, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River. She was born Oct. 18, 1919, in Laurel, Neb., to Rudolph and Rosa (Cross) Klinker. She married Merlyn Carlson in November of 1963. They operated Merle's Mobile station in Litchfield for many years.

Vivian is survived by her five children: Richard Jensen, of Columbus, Ohio, Dianna Maxson (Dale), of Pine River, Dorothy (Gonshorowski) (Gale), of Inver Grove Heights, Donna Maxson (Merlyn), of Litchfield, and Ralph Jensen, of Marshall; one sister; one brother; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Her husband, Merlyn; one brother; three sisters; and two grandsons, Joey Maxson and Corey Gonshorowski, preceded her in death.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at First Lutheran Church in Pine River with Pastor John Twiton officiating. Visitations will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be on Friday in Litchfield. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
