Warriors eliminated in team tennis

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The fifth-seeded Brainerd Warriors upended No. 4 Alexandria 4-3 in the quarterfinals before losing 6-1 to top-seeded Bemidji in the semifinals of the North Subsection 8, Class 2A girls' team tennis tournament Wednesday.

Bemidji won the title 6-1 over Thief River Falls to advance to the section team tournament next week.
