Pirates silence Rebels

CLARISSA - Amos Schmidt scored five touchdowns and Colby Schmidt scored one for the Verndale Pirates in a 52-20 Pheasant Conference victory over the Eagle Valley Rebels. The victory pushes the third-ranked Pirates to 6-0.

Dustin Motschenbacker also scored on a 20-yard run to finish off the scoring for the Pirates.

Amos Schmidt carried the ball 23 times for 189 yards. Colby Schmidt finished with a perfect passing performance, going 4-for-4 for 22 yards with no interceptions.
