Five adult women were arrested late Thursday afternoon after threatening another woman at a duplex on the 700 block of Southwest Fifth Street.
Brainerd Police Chief John Bolduc said the women went to the duplex to confront a woman who lived there. The suspects, one of whom had some type of club, Bolduc said, threatened the woman. The resident, however, was not injured, as several neighbors called 911 at 4:10 p.m. and officers were able to arrive quickly.

Bolduc declined to say why the suspects had confronted the victim because the case was still under investigation.
The five women arrested are being held in the Crow Wing County jail for terroristic threats.
Shortly after police arrived, several suspects were asked to lie down in the driveway of the duplex as Brainerd police officers and Crow Wing County sheriff's deputies interviewed them.
Several children stood at the end of neighboring driveways along the cul-de-sac road watching the scene unfold.
