Pierz loses in first round

MORA - Fifth-seeded Pierz won three singles matches as No. 4 Mora edged the Pioneers 4-3 in the opening round of the South Subsection 7-1A team tournament Wednesday.

Cassie Banick won at No. 1, Jayme Sczublewski at No. 2 and Erin Gritzmacher at No. 3 for the Pioneers.
