An electronics recycling - E-Waste Rally - will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday near the Gregory Park tennis courts, in the parking lot at the corner of Fifth and Ivy streets in Brainerd.

Most items will be taken for a small fee. Items such as monitors, printers, fax machines and televisions will be taken for 50 cents per pound.

Sought after items include computer towers, monitors, keyboards, printers, fax machines, stereos, radios, TV modems, computer modems, cell phones, PDA's, VCR machines, DVD and CD machines, cables, wires, cords, transformers, electric toothbrushes and razors.

This rally isn't for appliances.

The fundraising effort will help support the UCC/First Congregrational's support for the Food Shelf, the Soup Kitchen and the InterFaith Hospitality Network.

All of the parts go to end-of-life environmentally safe facilities in the U.S. This project is being coordinated with Hughes Technologies, Brainerd.
