20 years ago (1987)

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department plans to update its warrant files. The department has 600 active warrants on people who, prior to1987, failed to respond to summonses to appear in court.

30 years ago (1977)

Robert Haines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Haines of Brainerd, received Boy Scouting's coveted Eagle award recently.

40 years ago (1967)

Homeowner's tax bills will be somewhat lower than this year because of the 35 percent reduction granted under the sales tax bill but increased local levies will eat up part of that reduction.

60 years ago (1947)

Members of the Brainerd Restaurant Association - while awaiting instructions from the state organization adopted a "conscience" policy for both cafe owners and the general public in respect to president Truman's "self-denial" food saving campaign.

80 years ago (1927)
