BAXTER - Ronald H. Johnson, longtime resident of Baxter, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at his apartment at Good Samaritan Society-Woodland in Brainerd. He was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Motley, Minn. He had been a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the 49ers Union, and the Eagles Club. Ronald married Della Bourassa in Sisseton, S.D., July 30, 1938.

Survivors include son, Ronald B. (Ann) Johnson, of Baxter; daughter, Lynn R. (Gary) Getty, of Queen Creek, Ariz.; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Karen) Johnson, Arizona, Denise (Brad) Branch, Eagan, Tony (Laurie) Johnson, Fort Ripley, Terry (Kelly) Johnson, Rice, Shannon (Mark) Ziegler, North Carolina, Chasen (Veronica) Getty, North Carolina, Kamin (Chuck) Havens, Arizona, Shae (Glenn) Pifer, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Melissa Janssen, Danielle, Brittni and Blake Branch, Erica Johnson, Nathan and Joshua Smith, Madison Troska, Alex Ziegler, Jacoby Getty, Maichen and Anelie Havens, Aspen, Brekken and Treyden Pifer.
Preceded in death by his wife, Della; his parents, John O. and Edith Johnson; two sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Woodland 300 Building Chapel with visitation the hour before services. Deacon Roger Marks will officiate. Burial will be in Motley City Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
