Pequot Lakes coasts to 38-0 victory

WALKER -- The Pequot Lakes Patriots limited the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves to 60 yards of total offense and posted a 38-0 victory in North Star Conference football Friday.

Justin Biebighauser rushed 16 times for 71 yards and scored one touchdown for the Patriots. Teammate James Singer scored on a 54-yard pass from Chase Nelson and added a 74-yard kickoff return.

Robbie Biley carried 11 times for 76 yards and one touchdown and Nelson was 4-for-7 passing for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Pequot Lakes was led by lineman Dan Ackerson who had five solo tackles, five assisted tackles and one interception.

Singer also had an interception. Dan Mills and Cole Peterson each had fumble recoveries for the Patriots who recorded their fifth shutout of the season.
