SWANVILLE -- Betty J. Johnson, 60, Swanville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born April, 4, 1940, in Sauk Centre to Eldo and Dorothy (Triewieler) Paul. She lived with her family in Hanley Falls, Sauk Centre and Granite Falls. She attended beauty school in Winona and worked as an apprentice in Cottonwood. She married Lawrence Johnson in 1947. The couple lived in Hanley Falls, Granite Falls, Pelican Rapids and then moved to Swanville in 1974. She worked as a hairdresser in Swanville. She was a member of the Swanville Bible Camp.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, David Johnson, Grand Forks, N.D., Wade Johnson, Browerville; and Larry Johnson, York, Pa.; two daughters, Kris Kunz, Swanville, and Kerrie Harms, Brainerd; a sister, Marion Pinkerton, St. Louis Park; a brother, Kenny Paul, Norwood; and eight grandchildren.
Her parents died earlier.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Swanville Bible Church with Rev. Timothy Sumner officiating.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the church and from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
