PEQUOT LAKES -- Charles "Chuck" Carl Clink, 74, Pequot Lakes, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Village in Pine River.
He was born July 18, 1926, in Kendallville, Iowa, to William and Nora (Johnson) Clink. He graduated from a high school in Harmony. He married LaVonne Lein on Sept. 2, 1951, in Cresco, Iowa. He farmed in Harmony until 1973. He then owned and operated Twin Points Resort on Lake Ossawinnamakee. Then he moved to Pequot Lakes on Mayo Lake. He was a school bus driver for the Pequot Lakes School District for close to 18 years and did maintenance work at Breezy Point Lodge Apartments. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and past church treasure at Pequot Lakes.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Fritcher, Lime Springs, Iowa; six sons, David Clink, De Pere, Wis., Donald Clink, Alpine, Calif., Dwain Clink, Maple Plain, Dean Clink, Pequot Lakes, Daryl Clink, Breezy Point, and Danny Clink, Brooklyn Park; and 19 grandchildren.
An infant daughter, a son, Dale, two grandsons and his parents died earlier.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Pequot Lakes with Rev. David Stevens officiating.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Freemont Lutheran Cemetery in Cresco, Iowa.
