BAXTER - Stacy Tetreault scored two first-half goals vaulting the Brainerd Warriors to a 3-0 Central Lakes Conference win over the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles Monday.
The win, despite the Warriors' having one remaining conference match, gave the Warriors an insurmountable 3.5-point edge over the second-placed Eagles to clinch the conference championship.
"Tonight was a big game, it was sealing the deal for conference champs," Warriors coach Sarah Rojas said. "It was a very exciting game for the girls. They played well and they played tough against a very tough team and they came out on top. We're very proud of the girls."
