Crow Wing County Treasurer Laureen Borden is reminding Crow Wing County residents that the second half of their real estate taxes is due Oct. 15.
If taxes are mailed, timeliness is determined by the postmark. Payments also can be made in person at the treasurer's office on the second floor of the historic courthouse, 326 Laurel St.
Payments dated or brought in after Oct. 15 will have a late penalty assessed.
Crow Wing County has partnered with Official Payments to offer taxpayers an option to pay their taxes electronically at www.mncountypayments.org or by calling (800) 272-9829. All Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit and debit card payments are accepted. If using these methods, the county jurisdiction code is 3329 and you also will need the RE code or parcel number for the property. There is an additional transaction fee charged.
Owners of agricultural land being used for that purpose and mobile homes classified as personal property have later due dates for the second half. Check your second half payment stub for payment due dates.
