The Brainerd Rotary Club will host it eighth annual reverse raffle on Oct. 30 at Madden's Town Hall in East Gull Lake. Social hour is at 6 p.m. and the dinner is at 7 p.m.
Ticket holders receive a buffet dinner for two at Madden's Town Hall and a chance to win $10,000 and other prizes. Tickets for the reverse raffle are $120. Only 300 tickets will be sold.
Proceeds from the raffle go to the Brainerd Rotary Foundation and support Brainerd lakes area organizations focusing on children. A portion of the purchase price is tax-deductible.
After dinner, tickets are drawn and the last ticket drawn wins $10,000. There are many other prizes to be won along the way. Your chances of winning a prize are determined by the number of prizes donated. In years past about one ticket in three has won a prize. You do not have to be present to win.
Once five tickets are left to be drawn, the owners of those tickets are called to the stage, if they are present, and given the chance to split the grand prize. If a ticket holder is not present the drawing continues.
To purchase tickets or donate a prize, see a member of the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club or call Jill Carlson-Ferrie at 822-5138 or e-mail jferrie@mmfcu.org.
