Frank E. Woodrow

AITKIN -- Frank E. Woodrow, 80, of Aitkin, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin. He was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Farm Island Township to Ernest and Irene (Tool) Woodrow. He was united in marriage to Loretta Bobseen on May 26, 1948. Frank worked in the Crosby mines and then for the Chicago and North Western Railroad for more than 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Minnesota Twins and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by one brother, Jim, of Aitkin; three sisters, Pearl Ferris, of Norwalk, Calif., Alta May Blakesley and Anna Lou "Amy" Hansen, both of Aitkin; besides many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, on Feb. 2, 1958, a brother, Orval, three sisters, Dorothy Boyd, Marie Blakesley and Vera Lueck, and his parents.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin. The Rev. Ruth Hograbe will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Aitkin. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin.
