Death of 8-month-old investigated

An 8-month-old baby girl who was taken Aug. 19 to Minneapolis Children's Hospital in the Twin Cities when she was found not breathing in her north Brainerd home has died.

Brainerd Police Chief John Bolduc said the baby girl, who had been in critical condition since she was taken to the hospital, died Friday.

There have been no arrests or charges filed in the case, Bolduc said. His office continues to investigate the 8-month-old's death.
